Since November 2022, employers advertising jobs in NYC must include a good faith salary range for every job, promotion, and transfer opportunity advertised.

EEOC’s New “Know Your Rights” Poster
Employers with at least 15 employees are required to post the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's new “Know Your Rights” poster, which updates and replaces the previous “EEO is the Law” poster. The new poster must be placed in a conspicuous location in the workplace and the EEOC encourages employers with remote workers to post it electronically. Failure to comply with these posting requirements can lead to civil money penalties of $569 per violation.

“Skip the Stuff” Legislation
This legislation prohibits restaurants and food delivery platforms from providing eating utensils, extra eating containers, condiment packets, and napkins to customers for take-out and delivery orders unless the customer specifically requests them. This will decrease the amount of plastic in our waste stream and reduce expenses for food service establishments.

NYS Electric & Gas Bill Relief Program
This program will provide relief to small businesses and residential customers who have unpaid services balances through May 1, 2022, forgiven through a credit on your utility bill. No action is required on your part.

NYC Water Bill Amnesty Program
DEP is offering limited one-time amnesty with up to 100% interest forgiven for all delinquent customers. If you owe water and wastewater charges, you may be eligible for this amnesty offer. Don’t miss the opportunity to take advantage of this program before it ends.

Food Waste Reduction & Diversion Reimbursement Program
A partnership between NYS and Rochester Institute of Technology, this program provides reimbursement to NYS businesses that generate, recycle, or haul large amounts of food waste to offset the cost of select technologies & equipment that promise to reduce or divert that food waste from landfill or incineration. Application deadline is May 1, 2023.
